Our team of over 50 employees operates out of our facility in Maryville, Tennessee, and together, we are fighting hunger in our 18-county service area. Food Drives Coordinator

The Food Drives Coordinator is responsible for data entry and customer service with regards to the Food Drives and Virtual Food Drive activities, which include pick up and drop off of food drive barrels and boxes from the Food Drive Van. Core responsibilities include coordinating with participating organizations around scheduling.

SNAP Coordinator

The SNAP Coordinator works to create opportunities for members of our community to gain access to and understand the SNAP program, and its application process, and provides support for anyone seeking SNAP application assistance over the phone and in person. In addition to answering phone calls and assisting walk-ins, the SNAP Coordinator inputs programmatic data and conducts outreach for SNAP and general SHFB food assistance programs.

Gifts Officer (Hybrid)

The Gifts Officer is responsible for developing, managing, and soliciting an active portfolio of current and prospective donors, ensuring they are engaged in supporting Second Harvest throughout the fiscal year using various channels with the goal of engaging partners, advocates, and investors within Fentress, Cumberland, Scott, and Morgan County.

Volunteer Operations Coordinator

As part of the Volunteer Engagement Team, the Volunteer Operations position ensures an excellent experience for individuals who volunteer in support of the mission of Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. This is accomplished by providing operational support to volunteers during volunteer shifts. Imperative to this role is a positive attitude, strong interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to interact with individuals from a variety of backgrounds.

Grant Writer

The Grant Writer is responsible for securing funding by identifying, qualifying, cultivating, solicitation and stewarding gifts from foundations and grants. The Grant Writer will collaborate closely with the Grants Team as well as the program and development staff to secure information for proposals and reports.

Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant assists the Facilities Coordinator in all duties of Maintenance. They also maintain a variety of records, files, and reports; maintain records of stock and order supplies, as necessary. Tools as required; maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed.
